Thank you to Troop 58 of Phoenixville for installing a United States Flag Retirement Box at Borough Hall earlier this month.
After a flag is placed in the Retirement Box, the flag is collected from the retirement box and a flag retirement ceremony is organized. The flag is then cut down and the stripes are removed, after which pieces of the flag are placed into a fire during the ceremony. Following the ceremony, the ashes are respectully buried
