NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Water Treatment Plant Filter Room Ceiling Painting  Borough of Phoenixville

The Borough of Phoenixville will receive sealed bids on line for the Water Treatment Plant Filter Room Ceiling Painting. Online sealed bids are to be submitted on November 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM EST at which time they will be opened and read aloud at Phoenixville Borough Hall at 351 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at PennBidrM - www.PennBid.net 

A certified check· or bid bond for the amount of 10% is required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 26, 2018 at 11 :00 AM EST at the Phoenixville Water Treatment Plant at 1 Water Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.

The Phoenixville Borough Council, Chester County, PA will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Borough Hall, 351 Bridge Street, 3rd Floor, Phoenixville, PA for the purpose of presenting the proposed 2019 draft budget and any other such business as it may so choose.

NOTICE

THE BOROUGH OF PHOENIXVILLE, 351 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460 invites the submission of sealed bids for a Single Prime Building Contract for All Work Required for the Construction of the New Community Center and Park Pavilion.   The Borough of Phoenixville will utilize electronic bidding to receive sealed bids. Sealed bids must be submitted online through the PennBid electronic procurement program prior to Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM EST.   The Secretary of the Borough Manager will publicly open the bids and read aloud immediately at that time in Council Chambers at the above address.  Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond (together with a Consent of Surety) drawn to the order of the “Borough of Phoenixville” for not less than 10% of the Base Bid and all Alternate Bid(s) combined. Bids must be unconditional and no bidder may withdraw a bid within 120 days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or nonmaterial defects or to reject any or all bids.

Bidders may obtain all project and bidding documents and solicitation details at no cost through PennBid (www.PennBid.net).                                       

The successful bidder shall pay no less than the prevailing minimum wage determination as established by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.  The successful bidder is required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or natural origin.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Phoenixville Borough Council will hold a conditional use hearing on the Application of Chester County, 313 W. Market Street, West Chester, Pennsylvania, 19380, on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in the Borough Council Meeting Room, Third Floor, Phoenixville Borough Hall, 351 Bridge Street, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania.

 

The Applicant is owner of property located at 123 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, identified as Tax Parcel Nos. 15-3-10 and 15-3A-14 (hereinafter referred to as “Subject Property”) which is located in an RI – Residential Infill Zoning District.  The Subject Property is part of and/or adjacent to the existing Black Rock Sanctuary and is currently unused and vacant but is improved with three existing structures. 

 

The Applicant proposes to add a trailhead with access to/from Black Rock Road and two canoe/kayak portage ramp improvements for the trail that consist of a paved parking area, a drop-off area, retaining walls, picnic area, landscaping and walkways.  An institutional use of this type is permitted in the RI Zoning District by conditional use, subject to satisfying the criteria outlined in Section 27-905 of the Phoenixville Borough Zoning Ordinance.

 

At the time of the hearing, any affected party or person will be given full opportunity to be heard.
