Residents are invited to attend Borough Council meeting on a proposed Affordable Senior Housing Concept
In an effort to address Affordable Senior Housing, the Borough has been approached by The Hankin Group to develop a 50 unit development at 115 Buchanan Street. This site was the former Public Works Building which moved into new facilities earlier this year. As the site is owned by the Borough, the developer is asking the Borough to contribute the land. The land transaction would be through a PHFA Deed Restricted - 35 year delayed payment arrangement to the Borough. PHFA is the Pennsylvania Housing and Finance Authority which provides funding to such projects utilizing Tax Credits.
