Mayor Scoda is a retired Biology teacher from Phoenixville Area High School
where he taught for 35 years. Mayor Scoda also coaches the highly successful
Phoenixville High School Boys Tennis Team and has done so for 48 years. For the last
45 years Mayor Scoda has implemented the Summer Tennis Program that is run
through The Phoenixville Borough Recreation Department. Mayor Scoda has been
in office since January 1998 and has been an active in many Areas of Community Life:
Social Concerns Committee, Valley Forge Christian College,
DARE Supporter,
Community Service Awards, Scout Troops and Wedding Ceremonies.
Pennsylvania State Law allows Mayor’s in Pennsylvania to officiate at weddings.
Mayor Scoda performs weddings in his office located downstairs in Borough Hall
or at a place of your choosing as his schedule permits.
