Thank you for your interest in keeping your community safe and drug-free. The Phoenixville Police Department takes each tip that you provide to us seriously and we do investigate each and every one. In 2008, Borough Council created Phoenixville’s first full-time drug investigator.

This puts Phoenixville in a small minority of Chester County municipalities that have such a full-time drug unit. This will allow the Police Department to better serve the residents and visitors of the Borough. This unit will coordinate its drug suppression efforts with the Pennsylvania State Police, Chester County Detectives, Attorney General’s Office and DEA narcotics squads.

Due to the secretive nature of undercover drug operations, it often appears as though drug tips are not taken seriously, or that nothing is being done. Drug operations can take weeks or even months to complete, but when the indictments are handed down and drug houses are successfully closed up, the time and effort expended was well worth it. Increasing the quality of life in every neighborhood in the Borough is part of the Police Department’s mission.
