Temporary Open-Air Permit Set Up Updates and Changes

On September 8th, 2020, Borough Council approved the temporary Open-Air permit Setup to go beyond October 5th, 2020. The Borough will assess further dates on a monthly basis going forward. Please see below for the October scheduled dates. 

• Starting October 8^th, temporary open-air permit set up hours must end at 9pm
  1. All sales must end at 9pm
  2. All business equipment must be removed from the street each night by 10pm
• The road closure times and days will remain the same unless otherwise noted.
  1. Thursday at 2pm to Monday 7am* (see change for weekend of October 8^th)
     • Bridge Street from Starr to Main Streets, and Bridge Street from Main to Gay Streets
     • Main and Bridge Street Parking Lot
• The Borough will reassess the status of the closures in Mid-to-late October, and more information will available about the temporary open-air permit set ups passed November 2^nd.

Guidelines for Outdoor Heaters for Temporary Open-Air Permitted: (in the public right of way)

• Businesses may have no more than three (3) outdoor heaters per set up
  1. Heaters MUST be 5 feet away from any other piece of furniture or outdoor décor to prevent fire or injury. (This includes tables, chairs, trees, planters, seasonal decorative items, etc.)
  2. Heaters MUST be placed up against the curb for added stability.
  3. No open flames are permitted.

October 8^th – October 13^th (Columbus Day Weekend)- *Road to reopen on TUESDAY, October 13^th at 7am

   • Thursday, October 8^th – 4pm – 9pm
   • Friday, October 9^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Saturday, October 10^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Sunday, October 11^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Monday, October 12^th – 7am – 9pm

October 15^th – October 19^th - Road to reopen on Monday, October 19^th at 7am

   • Thursday, October 15^th – 4pm – 9pm
   • Friday, October 16^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Saturday, October 17^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Sunday, October 18^th – 7am – 9pm

October 22^nd – October 26^th - Road to reopen on Monday, October 26^th at 7am

1. Permit Set Up Hours
   • Thursday, October 22^nd – 4pm – 9pm
   • Friday, October 23^rd – 7am – 9pm
   • Saturday, October 24^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Sunday, October 25^th – 7am – 9pm

October 29^th – November 2nd - Road to reopen on Monday, November 2^nd at 7am

   • Friday, October 30^th – 7am – 9pm
   • Saturday, October 31^st – 7am – 9pm
   • Sunday, November 1^st – 7am – 9pm
