[ARCHIVED] Borough - COVID-19 Updates #1 - #6

UPDATE #1:

In the interest of public health, the Borough of Phoenixville has implemented measures to mitigate the exposure to COVID-19. Borough Hall and the Civic Center are closed to public access until further notice.

All Recreation Department programs and activities are cancelled or suspended until further notice which includes the daycare operations.  
The Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4 will be cancelled.

You may place payments in the dropbox located outside Borough Hall by the flagpole, or online at www.phoenixville.org via the XPressBillPay portal.

Codes Department: (updated 3/20/2020)

Pursuant to Governor Wolf’s emergency order, all department functions are suspended including receipt of, acceptance, processing, approval or issuance of permits.

ALL Construction Activities and Construction Inspections are suspended by Governor Wolf’s order.

Property Transfer Inspections are suspended by Governor Wolf’s order.

Rental Inspections are suspended by Governor Wolf’s order.

UPDATE #5: SANITATION SERVICE CHANGES

Effective April 1, 2020 all yard waste pickup, as well as metal and bulk item scheduling and pickup services have been suspended. 

This decision follows increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus and the emergency declarations from Governor Wolf. 

In order to maintain the safety and well-being of our staff, we are suspending non-essential sanitation services until further notice.

The compost site will not have weekend hours until further notice. Their hours will be Monday through Friday 7am  - 3pm.

All regular trash and recycling services aside from those mentioned above will remain as scheduled.


UPDATE #6: 

The offices will remain closed to the public, but payments over the phone will be able to taken between the hours of 8am to 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Voicemail messages will be checked daily and responded to as soon as possible.
