On Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. prevailing time, at Phoenixville Borough Hall, 351 Bridge Street, 3rd Floor, Phoenixville PA 19460, the Phoenixville Borough Council will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed 2022 Comprehensive Plan Update. If the Phoenixville 2022 Comprehensive Plan Update is determined ready for adoption after the public presentation and comment period, the Borough Council may act on the adoption of the plan document that evening.

Interested persons are invited to attend, participate, and comment on the 2022 Comprehensive Plan Update, which has been on public display since February 9, 2022 and remains available for review at Borough Hall (351 Bridge St, Phoenixville, PA 19460) and online via the Borough website: www.phoenixville.org/

In accordance with recent CDC guidance, the Borough recommends all members of the public to be masked when entering our building.  Although the building is open to the public, we encourage public participation to continue through remote connections, via computer, tablet, smartphone or phone.  This will allow any member of the public to indicate they would like to speak and offer comment during the public comment portion of the meeting. Residents and taxpayers who wish to participate or listen to the meeting may call-in or log-in.  Directions for connection to and participation in the meeting will be published on the Borough’s publicly accessible website at www.phoenixville.org.

If any person who wishes to attend the meeting has a disability and/or requires an auxiliary aid, service or other accommodation to observe or participate in the proceedings, they should contact the Borough at 610-933-8801, to discuss how those needs may be accommodated.

On Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. prevailing time, the Phoenixville Borough Council will conduct a Public Hearing to consider, and immediately thereafter during its regular meeting, take action on an Ordinance to amend the Code of the Borough of Phoenixville:

An Ordinance Of The Phoenixville Borough Council, Chester County, Pennsylvania Amending Chapter 15, “Motor Vehicles And Traffic,” Part 4, “General Parking Regulations,” Section 15-420 “Electric Vehicle Parking” Of The Code Of Ordinances Of The Borough Of Phoenixville.

Due to the requirement of social distancing, public participation at these meetings will occur through remote connections, via computer, tablet, smartphone or phone in supplement to in-person.  Telecommunications participation will allow any member of the public to indicate they would like to speak and offer comment during the public comment portion of the meetings. Residents and taxpayers who wish to participate or listen to the meeting may call-in or log-in.  Directions for connection to and participation in the meetings will be published on the Borough’s publicly accessible website at www.phoenixville.org.   

A complete copy of the proposed ordinance amendment is posted on the Borough’s website at. http://www.phoenixville.org/government/91. The proposed ordinance amendment may be examined at Phoenixville Borough Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.  Copies are also on file at the Chester County Law Library, 201 West Market Street, Suite 2400, West Chester and The Mercury at 24 North Hanover Street, Pottstown, PA.
