Advances the preservation and protection of the old historic district, architecturally worthy structures, and landscape features, as well as the quaint neighborhoods, which impart a distinct aspect and character to the Borough of Phoenixville, and which serve as visible reminders of the historical and cultural heritage of the Borough of Phoenixville, the commonwealth, and the nation.

Mission

The Phoenixville Historical Architectural Review Board (HARB) encourages the economic development and revitalization of the Phoenixville Downtown Historic District while attempting to minimize the burden on long-term property owners.

The HARB is a public advisory body created by state and local laws.
The HARB helps to protect the architectural and cultural heritage of the Phoenixville Downtown Historic District by considering the effects of proposed exterior changes to buildings and properties within the district and commenting on the appropriateness of those changes.
